MACT awards ₹1.80 cr to kin of couple killed on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal has awarded ₹1.80 crore to heirs of Ankit and Sanjana Chugh, killed in a 2018 Mumbai-Pune Expressway crash. MACT held Ankit 70% contributorily negligent and the truck driver 30% liable. Compensation stands at ₹92.5 lakh for Sanjana and ₹88.4 lakh for Ankit. The insurer must pay first, then recover from the truck owner.
