Essar Power MP Ltd (EPMPL) in Singrauli, MP has been fined with ₹50 lakh for fly-ash leakage from company's Mahan Power Plant which allegedly led to the damage of 198 acres of crops, as per officials. "A three-member committee...is looking into the reasons behind the incident...I have written to Essar to immediately deposit ₹50 lakh," said the district collector.
