Madhya Pradesh makes RT-PCR test mandatory for zoo staffers

The Madhya Pradesh forest department has made the RT-PCR test compulsory for zoo staffers, field officers and forest guards of national parks and Tiger reserves after eight Asiatic lions in Hyderabad tested COVID-19 positive. "We've started giving boiled meat laced with anti-viral medicines to animals to save them from viral infection," said the in-charge of Indore's Kamla Nehru zoological park.
