Madhya Pradesh passes UCC Bill, becomes 4th state to do so

The CM Mohan Yadav-led Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday passed the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill, becoming the fourth state to do so after Uttarakhand, Gujarat, and Assam. Calling it a 'golden day' for the state, CM Yadav said, "This move will liberate women from the suffering caused by polygamy and ensure government support for their rights."
