Madhya Pradesh village declares itself 'abuse-free', announces ₹500 fine for abusing

The Borsar village in Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur district has declared itself 'abuse-free' and imposes penalties on the use of abusive language. Whoever is caught abusing has to pay a fine of ₹500 or do an hour of community service, such as cleaning village streets. Monitoring committees have been set up to keep watch and take action against those who abuse.
