Maduro becomes Venezuela Prez for 3rd term despite disputed polls

Nicolas Maduro was sworn in as President of Venezuela for a third term on Friday. Maduro, who has been in power since 2013, was declared the winner of last July's election by Venezuela's electoral authority and top court even as tallies confirming his victory were never published. Edmundo Gonzalez, opposition's candidate, was recognised as election's winner by countries including US.
