Magnus Carlsen wins online chess tournament on iPad, didn't want to use wife's MacBook

World number one chess player Magnus Carlsen won the Chess.com Open title on Sunday, defeating Jan-Krzysztof Duda 2-0 in the Grand Final reset. The Norwegian played the entire tournament on an iPad, as he did not have a laptop and did not want to use his wife's MacBook. Carlsen pocketed $50,000 and qualified for the Esports World Cup 2026.
