Maha CM received fraudulent letter on PMO letterhead; CBI files case

After complaints by the PM's Office, the CBI has registered cases to probe alleged fraudulent use of letterhead of a joint secretary in PMO to seek favours, including one addressed to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis in 2017. The letter to the CM was allegedly to favour Vilayati Ram Mittal in connection with development of a plot in Mumbai, FIR stated.
