Maha CM unveils ₹13,000 cr flood-control plan, says 'waterlogging to clear in 30 mins'

Amid criticism over severe flooding during the season's first heavy rains, Maharashtra government has unveiled a ₹13,000 crore flood-control plan. CM Devendra Fadnavis said that 370 flood-prone spots have been identified, with system planned to clear waterlogging within 30 minutes. He added that Mumbai received nearly 90% of its average July rainfall in the first six days of the month.
