Maha FDA suspends licence of Blinkit warehouse over 18,405 expired items worth ₹33 lakh

Maharashtra FDA suspended Blinkit's food business licence at its Bhiwandi warehouse after an inspection found inadequate traceability or destruction records for 18,405 expired, damaged or rejected food items worth over ₹32.71 lakh. The FDA raised concerns over the items being routed back into the consumer market. It registered an FIR against senior Blinkit personnel and scrap-disposal vendors.
