Maha govt agrees to grant ₹1cr benefits to martyr Major Sood's family as special case

Maharashtra government has informed Bombay High Court that it will be granting financial benefits to the family of late Army Major Anuj Sood to the tune of ₹1 crore along with a monthly grant of ₹9,000 as a special case. Last week, the court expressed surprise after the government said it wasn't possible to grant benefits to Major Sood's widow.
