Maha mulls printing birth dates of bride & groom on wedding cards to curb child marriages

CM Devendra Fadnavis-led Maharashtra government is considering making it mandatory to print the birth dates of brides and grooms on wedding invitation cards to help curb child marriages. Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare said the state is studying a similar practice followed in Rajasthan. Maharashtra aims to reduce child marriages to below 10% within five years.
