Maha poll body allows voters to submit SIR documents via WhatsApp

Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer S Chockalingam has directed election officials to consider voter documents submitted through WhatsApp amid the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) exercise. Officials have been asked to visit homes for document verification if required. Earlier reports stated that Chockalingam had requested EC to allow electoral officers more discretion regarding anomalies.
