Maha’s new Class 6 books add ancient Indian knowledge, cut caste references

Maharashtra's new Class 6 books have introduced ancient Indian knowledge across history, geography and science under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Bhaskaracharya II is featured alongside Isaac Newton in the chapter on gravity, while the geography book includes Vedic cosmology alongside the Big Bang theory. The revised history book has also reduced references to caste discrimination.
