Maha school fines kid ₹50 for bringing fenugreek in tiffin; civic body issues notice

A private school in Maharashtra's Bhayandar has allegedly fined a student ₹50 for bringing cooked fenugreek in a lunchbox during the Jain festival of Paryushan, when several followers observe dietary restrictions. The school also allegedly asked students to avoid certain foods and buy alternatives from its canteen. Following a complaint, the civic body issued a show-cause notice to the school.
