Maha sets up 7-member panel to prepare Uniform Civil Code draft

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday announced the formation of a seven-member committee to prepare a draft for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. The committee is headed by retired Supreme Court judge Justice Ranjana Desai and also includes former Bombay High Court judges R C Chavan and S G Mehare.
