Maharashtra announces public holiday on Monday to mourn Lata Mangeshkar's demise

The Maharashtra government has announced a public holiday on Monday, February 7, to mourn the demise of veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar, CMO said. The singer, who was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, passed away on Sunday at the age of 92. Her condition had deteriorated and she was on a ventilator in the ICU, her doctor had stated.
