Maharashtra Cabinet decides to propose Ratan Tata's name for Bharat Ratna

Maharashtra Cabinet met on Thursday and decided to propose industrialist Ratan Tata's name to the Centre for the Bharat Ratna award. This resolution was passed during a meeting where members paid homage to the industrialist. Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award in India. Ratan Tata, who passed away aged 86 on Wednesday, was conferred with Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
