Maharashtra girl writes class 12 exam after father's funeral

A 17-year-old from Latur district in Maharashtra appeared for her Class 12 Mathematics exam just hours after performing her father's last rites. Shivani Devkatte travelled nearly 50 km to reach her centre following the funeral. Her father, the family's sole earner, had dreamed of educating her. Her resolve has drawn widespread admiration.
