Maharashtra govt buys BR Ambedkar's London house

The Maharashtra government has bought the house that BR Ambedkar lived in when he was studying at London School of Economics. The final stage of the 3.1 million-pound deal was completed on Wednesday. The house, located in North London’s Chalk Farm, will be converted into a museum-cum-memorial to Ambedkar and will reportedly serve as a temporary accommodation for Indian scholars.
