Maharashtra issues advisory on HMPV, urges citizens to stay calm

The Maharashtra government issued an advisory on human metapneumovirus (HMPV) urging citizens to stay calm. "It's a common respiratory virus that primarily causes infections in the upper respiratory tract," it added. The advisory further asked people to cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing, wash hands frequently and avoid public places if symptomatic.
