Maharashtra man kills mother over bitter gourd dinner row

A 37-year-old man, Jagdish Petkule, was arrested in Maharashtra for allegedly beating his 65-year-old mother, Sumitra, to death after a heated argument over preparing bitter gourd curry for dinner. Police said he repeatedly kicked and punched her while under the influence of alcohol. Villagers alerted authorities, who detained him. A postmortem is underway as investigation continues.
