Maharashtra minister slams govt universities at event of private university

Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil criticised public universities at an event of the privately run DES Pune University. He said not a single university in Maharashtra can claim they've done unique research. "IIT does...new research every day. What has Pune University (SPPU) given? If there is, then I am very sorry," he added.
