Maharashtra poll promises could cost ₹35,000 crore in FY26: Report

BJP-led Mahayuti's election promises may cost ₹9,000 crore in FY25 and over ₹35,000 crore in the next fiscal, according to a Moneycontrol analysis. This comes after the alliance won over 80% votes in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Majority of the cost will go towards cash transfers to women, farmers and others.
