Maharashtra to recognise flat owners in land records: Report

The Maharashtra government has introduced the Vertical Property Card scheme for owners of flats and commercial units in cities like Mumbai and Pune, according to a Pune Mirror report. It will allow individual apartment owners to be directly recognised in official land records instead of only builders or housing societies. It will give each unit a separate government-recognised property identity.
