Maharashtra will spend ₹923 cr to stop accidents on 869 roads
Maharashtra government has approved a ₹923-crore ITMS project to improve road safety across 869 accident-prone stretches in 36 districts. Using 4G/5G technology, surveillance tools, and new district-level control rooms, the system will enhance real-time monitoring, traffic enforcement, and emergency response. Officials say this will be marking one of the state's most ambitious safety initiatives.
