Mahatma Gandhi's handwritten notes sell for ₹16.2 cr at auction, set world record
A collection of 688 autographed handwritten notes by Mahatma Gandhi on truth, ahimsa and service has been sold for ₹16.2 crore at an auction, setting a world record. The notes were written to his close associate and freedom fighter Anand T Hingorani. The notes address brahmacharya, the removal of untouchability, the search for God, labour and hunger, among other topics.
