Mahatma Gandhi's handwritten notes sell for ₹16.2 crore at auction

Mahatma Gandhi's collection of handwritten notes sold for ₹16.2 crore at a Saffronart auction in Mumbai. It has set a world auction record for an Indian historical document. Written for freedom fighter Anand T Hingorani between 1944 and 1946 after his wife Vidya's death, the notes discussed truth, non-violence, service, duty and self-realisation, among others.
