Maiden direct flight from Delhi to Sikkim lands at Pakyong airport

SpiceJet has started operating direct flight services from Delhi to Sikkim under the government's regional connectivity scheme UDAN. The first-ever direct flight carrying 57 passengers from the national capital landed at Sikkim's Pakyong airport around noon on Saturday. "Sikkim is one of the most beautiful and sought-after travel destinations in India," SpiceJet Chairman Ajay Singh said.
