Major Bhargav Kalita, who crawled towards terrorist under heavy fire, awarded Shaurya Chakra

President Droupadi Murmu presented Shaurya Chakra to Major Bhargav Kalita, who led and executed a surgical ambush operation in 2024 that neutralised a terrorist involved in the killing of innocent civilians. Under intense firing, he crawled towards the highly dangerous A++ category concealed terrorist and eliminated him. The government praised him for his dauntless courage & exemplary leadership.
