Major Indian honey brands used Chinese sugar designed to pass tests: CSE

Researchers from the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) alleged that major Indian brands are selling honey adulterated with sugar syrup from China that is "designed" to pass the Indian laboratory tests. The modified 'Chinese sugar' can only be detected by a test called Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). NMR test is only mandatory for honey that is meant for export.
