The major rivers of Arunachal Pradesh are free from pollution, a research by government body Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) has reported. The parameters in the ground water in the state were also declared to be within the permissible limits. Meanwhile, CGWB said that only 40-45% of the population in major cities in India were served by sewer systems.
