Make Santali J'khand's first official language: Tribal group

Tribal group Adivasi Sengel Abhiyan (ASA) on Tuesday demanded that Santali, which is among India's 22 recognised languages, be accorded the status of Jharkhand's first official language. Santali should also be recognised as the second official language in other tribal-populated states including West Bengal, Odisha, and Bihar, ASA President MP Salkhan Murmu said.
