Making Parag RR captain doesn't make sense, he hasn't worked hard for it: Manjrekar

Ex-India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar opined that appointing Riyan Parag as RR captain for IPL 2026 season does not “make sense” from a cricketing point of view. Manjrekar stated that Parag hadn't really worked hard enough for a reward like captaincy. RR have won six of their 10 matches in IPL 2026 so far and are currently fourth on points table.
