Malaria cases rise in Dakshina Kannada; surveillance intensified

Dakshina Kannada Health Department has intensified malaria surveillance after 30 cases were reported in the past two months, including 23 among people from outside the district or other states. Most cases were reported in Mangaluru city. Authorities are planning awareness programmes and encouraging companies to test workers arriving from other states for malaria.
