Malayalam director John Abraham's 'Amma Ariyan' gets standing ovation at Cannes

The restored 4K version of late filmmaker John Abraham's directorial 'Amma Ariyan', the only Indian film to be selected for Cannes this year, received a standing ovation at the event. Film Heritage Foundation, which was behind the restoration, wrote, "Four decades after it was made, the film that was never released commercially, got a standing ovation at Cannes."
