A Malaysian badminton coach gave his shoes to Jamaica's opponent player during a match at the Commonwealth Games 2022, after the player’s pair suffered damage. A video of the incident showed the sole of Samuel Ricketts’s shoes torn and his coach giving him regular shoes when Malaysian coach Hendrawan offered his shoes, which were of the same brand as Ricketts'.
