Maldives condemns 'India Out' campaign, calls India its 'closest ally'

The Maldives government on Wednesday strongly rejected attempts to spread what it called "false information" using the 'India Out' slogan which alleges that bilateral cooperation between the 2 governments undermines Maldives' national security and sovereignty. The "false allegations" are "misguided and unsubstantiated", the statement said. The Maldives government called India its "closest ally".
