Maldives gets 1st ice skating rink next to the beach

The Jumeirah Vittaveli hotel is opening Maldives' first ice skating rink near the beach. The rink, which is set to launch before Christmas, has been built in partnership with a company that manufactures artificial ice plates. The synthetic ice means the skating rink is capable of functioning without consuming energy or water.
