Maldives welcomes BJP's action against Nupur Sharma over remarks on Prophet

The Maldives government has said it is "deeply concerned by the derogatory remarks made by some officials of BJP" on Prophet Muhammad. Maldives welcomed the "denouncement" by the Indian government of the remarks and the "prompt action taken by BJP against those officials". BJP had suspended Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal over the remarks.
