Male contraceptive pill prototype stops sperm swimming

An experimental contraceptive drug candidate developed in the US temporarily stopped sperm in their tracks and prevented pregnancies in preclinical models. In the study, a single dose of an sAC inhibitor called 'TDI-11861' immobilised mice sperm for up to two and half hours, with full fertility returning 24 hours later. Unlike the female contraceptive pill, it doesn't involve any hormones.
