Mali's al Qaeda cell puts $2 mn bounty on President, army heads

Mali's al Qaeda affiliate Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) has offered a reward of €2 million (over $2.3 million) for information on whereabouts of President Assimi Goïta and top military officials. The notice also offered the reward to anyone 'taking concrete action to neutralise them'. Earlier, Mali's government put a bounty of $3.5 million on JNIM chief Iyad Ag Ghali.
