Mallikarjun Kharge's remark on Manusmriti expunged from Rajya Sabha after uproar

A massive uproar broke out in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday after Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge made a remark about the Manusmriti. The remark was later expunged. Union Health Minister JP Nadda said Kharge's comment "can create unrest in society". "Kharge must authenticate his comments," Nadda added. Meanwhile, BJP leaders raised slogans demanding that Kharge apologise for the same.
