Malnutrition in kids rises in WB despite Central funds, data shows

The Centre informed the Rajya Sabha that West Bengal received over ₹2,500 crore under Mission Poshan 2.0 in the past two years to combat child malnutrition. However, child stunting (low height-for-age) in Kolkata rose from 24.2% to 29.6%, while wasting (too thin for height) increased from 17.4% to 29.3%. "Bengal's children are starving. TMC is sleeping," BJP's Amit Malviya said.
