Mamata announces half-day holiday in WB on Mon to honour Lata Mangeshkar

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has declared a half-day holiday on Monday in honour of veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away on Sunday. "Like all her fans and followers across the planet, I was also mesmerised by her voice...and felt grateful that she held Bengal and the artistes of the East so dear to her heart," Mamata tweeted.
