Mamata Banerjee loses from Bhabanipur, BJP's Suvendu Adhikari defeats her for 2nd time

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee lost the Bhabanipur seat on Monday as her ex-aide and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari defeated her by over 10,000 votes. In 2021, Adhikari defeated Mamata from the Nandigram constituency. As the BJP is set to form government in West Bengal for the first time, Mamata cried foul and claimed BJP "stole" 100 seats.
