Mamata boosts pay for West Bengal's Anganwadi workers

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announces salary hikes for Anganwadi workers & assistants ahead of Lok Sabha elections. Monthly pay of Anganwadi workers increased to Rs 9,000 & assistants by Rs 750. ICDS workers also get a Rs 500 raise. This coincides with PM Modi's visit for inaugurating development projects.
