Mamdani attends India Day parade, calls himself NYC’s first Indian-American mayor
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani attended the ‘India Day’ parade in Queens, New York to mark India’s 80th Independence Day. “Today, I saw that mosaic in Hindus and Christians, Muslims and Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs across the Indian diaspora who have helped make our city what it is,” he said. He also called himself New York City’s first Indian-American mayor.
