Mammoths topped menu for humans in North America during Ice Age
According to scientists, the first humans across North America during the last Ice Age largely consumed mammoths. The diet of a woman who lived roughly 12,800 years ago was deciphered after researchers found the remains of her 18-month-old son, who was nursing at the time of death. Her diet comprised mostly of mammoths, followed by elk, bison, camels and horses.
