Man accused of waging war against govt gets bail after 8 yrs of custody under UAPA

The Delhi High Court granted bail to Mohammad Saqib alias Saqib Iftekar, an alleged member of the pro-IS group Harkat-ul-Harb-E-Islam, after nearly eight years of custody under the UAPA. The court noted that only 40 of 120 prosecution witnesses had been examined and the trial was unlikely to conclude soon. The NIA accused Saqib of waging war against the government.
